About Brico:
Brico is building the future of licensing compliance. Think Turbotax but for licensing. Our mission is to enable innovation and increase access in the financial services space by removing the first barrier to entry—licenses.
As a fast-growing, customer-loved, VC backed start-up, we offer a dynamic work environment, where creativity and initiative are at the heart of every project. Joining Brico means becoming part of an early founding team dedicated to making licensing & compliance cheaper, faster and more joyful.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly adaptable, detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to help streamline regulatory operations and solve problems as they arise. You’ll be wearing multiple hats, working across compliance and internal operations. This is an opportunity to learn fast, take ownership, and directly impact the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project and Process Support: Partner closely with the Compliance Team members to maintain accurate documentation across multiple projects, coordinate filings, and support customer meetings as needed.
- Regulatory Operations: Support the compliance team through regulatory outreach, research, and clarifications.
- Cross-functional Execution: Jump into high-priority projects—whether that’s researching regulations, improving internal workflows, or collaborating with engineering to support product improvements.
- Problem-Solving: If something is broken, help fix it. If a process doesn’t exist, help build it.
Who You Are:
- A Self-Starter: You take initiative and don’t wait for instructions to solve problems.
- Adaptable & Resourceful: You thrive wearing multiple hats and can find creative solutions to problems, even when no map or guidance has been provided before.
- Highly Organized and Detail-Oriented: You have strong organization and project management skills. You ensure that speed and quality are not opposites, and care about the small things that make operations run smoothly, even when details may be overlooked.
- Curious & Fast Learner: You don’t need to be an expert in compliance. You should always be trying to learn and ask questions to grow your understanding.
- Strong Communicator: You have strong written and verbal communication skills that allow you to communicate with a variety of people, whether it be people on other teams or regulators.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in legal operations, regulatory, or compliance. Bonus points for previous experience with paralegal, fintech compliance or government licensing work.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills that allow you to handle multiple fast-paced projects.
- Ability to learn new things quickly.
